Recently, Syeda Tuba Anwar made an appearance on the Ramzan special program Hasna Mana Hai. During the show, she talked about a mugging incident that occurred while she was in the UK.
Reflecting on the experience, Syeda Tuba Anwar stated, “I was traveling to London after many years, and I was filled with excitement and anticipation for my vacation. I had purchased a brand new iPhone from the Apple Store in the UK, which added to my enthusiasm. While at a bakery, dressed in a red coat, I was contemplating taking pictures. My friend and I settled in a cafe when a girl approached us, pointing at the cookies. Assuming she was requesting a cookie, I offered her one.
“She then placed a piece of paper over my phone, and along with her accomplice, executed a scam that allowed them to steal both my phone and the cookie. She had such skill in her actions that I was completely unaware of the theft. My sister arrived and inquired about the situation. I began to search for my phone in my coat pocket, only to find it missing”, she added.
The actress then went on to say, “My friend then said, ‘I thought she had been mugged.’ This incident left me traumatised, and I refrained from leaving the house. Eventually, my sister purchased another iPhone for me, which helped me regain a sense of normalcy.”
