NADRA Eid

The Federal government has declared two public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr on March 20 and 21, whereas the provincial government of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have declared three holidays from March 19 to 21. In view of these announcements an official schedule for Eid holidays has been issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

According to the notification from NADRA, all its offices in the country will be closed from Friday, March 20 to Monday, March 23.

These holidays include both Eid-ul-Fitr as well as Pakistan Day (observed on March 23rd every year).

As a result, citizens will not be able to get in-person services in NADRA offices during this period.

However, NADRA has made sure that essential services are still available via its digital platform.

The Pak-ID mobile application will remain operational over the holidays and users will be able to apply for documents of identity and access various services over the internet without having to visit physical offices.

In addition, NADRA made clear the schedule of the 24-hour operational centres.

In addition, NADRA clarified the schedule for its 24-hour operational centres. These offices will close at midnight between March 19 and March 20 and will remain shut during the holiday period.

They are scheduled to go back in operation on Tuesday, March 24 from 8:00 AM.

For Pakistanis living in foreign countries, NADRA’s offices and counters based in foreign countries will be open as per the work hours of the respective Pakistani Embassies in those parts of the world.

This is to ensure continuity of access to services by overseas Pakistanis based on local embassy schedules.

Overall, while the offices of NADRA will be closed for four days as part of Eid and Pakistan Day, the citizens can still depend on the digital service to fulfil their requirements in these days.
