US President Donald Trump has reposted a statement by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as Pakistan continues efforts for peace in the Middle East.
In the original statement, Dar said that Iran has agreed to permit 20 more Pakistani-flagged ships to pass through the strategic waterway, with two vessels expected to cross daily. He termed the decision as a positive and constructive gesture that could contribute to regional stability.
Dar further said that the move reflects growing trust and cooperation, calling it a meaningful step toward peace at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East. He also stated that the importance of dialogue and diplomacy is the only viable path forward.
The repost by Trump shows acknowledgement of Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic role, as Islamabad continues efforts to facilitate engagement between key regional and global stakeholders.

Türkiye, Saudi, and Egyptian FMs reach Islamabad
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Islamabad alongside the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Egypt to hold consultations on efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region.
He was received at Nur Khan Airbase by Additional Secretary for Afghanistan and West Asia, Syed Ali Asad Gillani.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Fidan is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on bilateral relations and other key issues.
Dar, Iranian FM Araghchi discuss the regional situation in a phone call
Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday to discuss the evolving regional situation and recent developments.
During the call, Deputy PM Dar emphasised the urgent need for de escalation.
He stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path toward lasting peace.
He also highlighted the importance of bringing an end to all attacks and hostilities in order to prevent further worsening of the security environment.
The deputy prime minister further reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to supporting all efforts that are aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office.
