PSL 11: Qalandars set modest 129-run target for Karachi Kings

Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by four wickets in a thrilling match of PSL 11. In the high-profile game played in Lahore, Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and chose to bat first.

The Kings’ bowlers performed impressively, keeping the opposition under pressure from the very beginning and not allowing them to play freely. Experienced Moeen Ali dismissed Fakhar Zaman in the first over, after which wickets began to fall at regular intervals.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars set a target of 129 runs for the Karachi Kings to chase. In the big match of the event, played in Lahore, Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and chose to bat first.

The Kings’ bowlers bowled well, keeping the Qalandars’ batters under pressure from the start and not allowing them to play freely. Experienced Moeen Ali helped Fakhar Zaman get settled in the first over, but wickets began to fall at regular intervals thereafter.

The Qalandars’ batsmen managed to build a few partnerships and played cautiously. Abdullah Shafiq resisted by scoring 33 runs, but the other batsmen could not match his effort.

Sikandar Raza scored 19, opener Muhammad Naeem 13, Pervez Hussain 12, Shaheen Afridi 7, and Usama Mir managed only 1 run each.

Moeen Ali, Mir Hamza, and Adam Zampa each took 2 wickets for Karachi Kings. Karachi Kings achieved the target of 129 runs in the final over, losing 4 wickets in the process.

Muhammad Wasim played a valuable innings of 38 runs for Karachi Kings. Apart from him, Saad Baig and Moeen Ali scored 18 runs each. Captain Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets for Lahore Qalandars.
