The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declared fast bowler Naseem Shah guilty and imposed a heavy fine on him.
According to the PCB, Naseem Shah has been fined for violating the board’s central contract.
The PCB had issued a show-cause notice on March 27, 2026, seeking an explanation from Naseem Shah regarding the alleged violations.
After receiving and reviewing his response, a three-member disciplinary committee heard the case on March 30.
Following their review, the committee ruled that, despite his unconditional apology, Naseem Shah was found guilty of violating several clauses of the central contract and has been fined Rs 20 million.
The PCB also stated that Naseem Shah has already dismissed his social media advisor. The board will blacklist this advisor to prevent him from working with any player under PCB jurisdiction in the future. The PCB reiterated its commitment to maintaining professional standards, enforcing contractual obligations, and upholding the integrity of the game.
Earlier, PCB has taken disciplinary action against fast bowler Naseem Shah, issued him a show-cause notice.
PCB has directed Naseem Shah to submit his response within a specified time frame. The board will determine further action based on his explanation.
It is worth mentioning that a controversial post was shared from Naseem Shah’s account on X regarding the arrival of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at Gaddafi Stadium during the opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League.
