According to the statement, Ataturk Avenue will remain closed for all traffic from Express Chowk to Ayub Chowk (Agha Khan Road) due to ongoing construction work.
The diversion plan will come into effect from March 31, 2026, and remain in place until the project is completed.
Citizens have been advised to use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
Traffic coming from Jinnah Avenue towards Islamabad Marriott Hotel should use China Chowk, Press Club Road, and Super Market to reach Agha Khan Road.
Those travelling via Khayaban-e-Suharwardy and Embassy Road should take Shaheed-e-Millat Road, China Chowk underpass, Press Club Road, and Agha Khan Road.
For commuters from Srinagar Highway heading to the Secretariat, the advised route is Serena Chowk, Globe Chowk, and Secretariat Chowk.
Traffic from 7th Avenue can access the Secretariat via Margalla Road and Shahrah-e-Dastoor.
Residents of Sector F-6 have been advised to use 7th Avenue and Margalla Road as alternative routes.
Authorities have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and follow the traffic plan to reduce congestion.
