Geries Group has announced the launch of a new international airline, Centrum Air, in Pakistan.
The step is expected to improve air connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asia.
Regular flight operations will begin on April 21. It will start with direct flights from Lahore to Tashkent.
This route will allow Pakistani passengers to connect to major international destinations through Tashkent.
The inauguration ceremony was held in Lahore. And it was attended by key figures from the aviation and travel sectors.
During the event, the airline presented its route network and future plans. Jeries Group said Centrum Air will offer affordable travel with better facilities for passengers.
The company added that launching Lahore to Tashkent flights will boost trade and tourism between Pakistan and Uzbekistan and mark a new era for regional air travel.
New details on Punjab’s Gulfstream Jet
New information has emerged about the luxury Gulfstream jet linked to the Government of Punjab, including its purchase, registration, and recent flights.
The jet was purchased from a company registered in the United States. But it is still officially registered under that company rather than directly with the Punjab government.
The aircraft arrived in Pakistan on December 1, 2025, and operates under the aviation code name “Punjab Two.” Maintenance can be done in major European locations.
These include London, France, Germany, and Vienna.
Flight records show that the jet left Lahore on March 8 for Vienna and returned on March 15. The jet originally received its certification on February 4, 2019.
Earlier, reports emerged that the Government of Punjab hired two foreign pilots to operate the newly purchased Gulfstream G500 aircraft.
According to reports, the two pilots will receive monthly salaries of $32,000 and $28,000, bringing the total monthly salary cost to $60,000.
At an estimated exchange rate of Rs283 per dollar, this equals nearly Rs17 million per month.
