Eight Khawarij who infiltrated North Waziristan and were killed in a security operation have been identified, with two confirmed as Afghan citizens.
According to sources, the militants were eliminated during a successful operation conducted by security forces in the Datakhel area of North Waziristan on April 1, 2026.
The first militant has been identified as Ameer Hamza Haqyar, son of Abdul Kareem, while the second is Amir Abdur Rahim, son of Zar Wali, who hails from Paktia, Afghanistan.
This incident highlights how the Afghan Taliban are attempting to destabilise peace and security in Pakistan by exploiting terrorist groups operating within the country.
In response, Pakistan continues to take strict measures to ensure both border and internal security.

Under Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq, the country has conducted sustained operations against terrorists, aiming not only to destroy their hideouts but also to protect citizens, safeguard the integrity of national borders, and maintain lasting peace in the region.

It is worth mentioning here that the movement of a group of Khwarij along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan District was picked up by the security forces on 1 April 2026.
According to ISPR, “own troops effectively engaged this group of khwarij. As a result of precise and skilful engagement, eight Khawarij belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, were sent to hell. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed Khawarij.”
The Pak Army media wing said, “The engagement once again substantiates our repeated stance regarding abject failure of the Afghan Taliban regime to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. Afghan Taliban Regime must fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by khwarij and involvement of its citizens in terrorism inside Pakistan.”
