In a rain-affected encounter at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 20 runs in Pakistan Super League 11.
The toss was delayed due to rain, and after a long wait, Multan Sultans won the toss and opted to field first. The match was reduced to 13 overs per side because of the weather interruptions.
Lahore Qalandars posted a challenging total of 185 for 5 in their allotted overs. Mohammad Naeem top-scored with 60 runs, while Pervez Hussain contributed a valuable 45. Abdullah Shafiq added 33 runs, and Sikandar Raza chipped in with 13 runs. Mohammad Ismail was the pick of the bowlers for Multan Sultans, taking 2 wickets.
Chasing 186, Multan Sultans could only manage 165 for 5 in 13 overs. Captain Ashton Turner led the charge with 52 runs, supported by Shan Masood’s 44 with this win. Lahore Qalandars continue their strong run in PSL 11, while Multan Sultans face the disappointment of a rain-hit defeat.

Opener Mohammad Naeem played an excellent innings of 60 runs off 28 balls, while Parvez Emon scored 45 and Abdullah Shafiq contributed 33 runs. Sikandar Raza remained not out on 13 runs, while Asif Ali was dismissed for 8.
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Ismail took two wickets, while Faisal Akram and Peter Siddle picked up one wicket each. Earlier, Multan Sultans captain Ashton Turner won the toss and elected to field first, inviting Shaheen Afridi’s XI to bat.

On the other side, Shaheen Afridi confirmed that Robin Hamer and Asif Ali will feature in Lahore Qalandars’ playing eleven. “If we had won the toss, we would have chosen to bat first,” Afridi said. “We played well in the previous match, but unfortunately, the result did not go in our favour.
