FESCO restores electricity in phases after heavy rain

Electricity supply was temporarily interrupted in various regions of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) area due to severe weather conditions and rain, affecting over 50 feeders on Monday.

A spokesperson for FESCO stated that the tripping of power lines resulted in outages across different localities within the Faisalabad First and Second Circles, as well as in the Mianwali, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, and Jhang circles.

He explained that the situation arose from weather-related disruptions impacting the transmission and distribution network.

FESCO teams were immediately gathered, and field staff were placed on high alert to ensure the swift restoration of electricity supply after heavy rain, he added.

He mentioned that technical crews were actively involved in identifying and rectifying faults in the affected areas.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FESCO, Engineer Muhammad Aamir, is personally overseeing the restoration efforts to accelerate the process and reduce inconvenience for consumers.

He instructed all operational personnel to make efficient use of available resources to ensure the quick resolution of faults.

The spokesperson expressed confidence that electricity supply from the affected feeders would be restored in phases following the clearance of faults and stabilisation of the system.

He noted that the company’s response mechanism remained fully operational to address such situations arising from adverse weather conditions.

He also extended apologies to consumers for the temporary inconvenience caused by these unavoidable circumstances and reaffirmed FESCO’s commitment to providing uninterrupted power supply through timely maintenance and rapid responses to emergencies.
