Two minor girls were brutally raped in Mirpur Khas of Sindh; one is dead, and the other is critical.
As per the latest information provided by the police, a teenage girl has died, and another remains in critical condition after being drugged and allegedly raped by a fake faith healer and his accomplice in Sindh’s Mirpur Khas district.
The incident took place in the Kot Ghulam Muhammad town of Mirpurkhas. Authorities have arrested the prime suspect, while a manhunt is underway to apprehend his accomplice.
According to the police, the victims are aged 13 and 14.
The Investigating officers revealed that one of the girls had approached the suspect, locally known as an Aamil (faith healer), accompanied by her cousin, in hopes of seeking a spiritual remedy to persuade her estranged mother to return home.
Police allege that the suspect gave both girls a beverage laced with intoxicants before he and his accomplice subjected them to sexual assault.
Following the assault, one of the girls tragically passed away, while the second girl was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Local authorities confirmed that a post-mortem examination has been conducted on the deceased teenager, and a medical evaluation has been completed for the surviving girl.
“We have arrested the primary suspect, the faith healer, and are conducting raids to arrest his fleeing accomplice,” a senior police official stated.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against both suspects on charges of murder, kidnapping, and rape. The case was filed on the complaint of the deceased girl’s father.
