Israel tries to derail Islamabad’s efforts to end US-Iran war

Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that Israel was trying to derail Islamabad’s efforts to end war between the US and Iran by attacking Tehran, “when both sides were in a stage to sit down”.

Earlier, a private media channel reported that Ishaq Dar told senators in Pakistan’s Senate that, “We were very optimistic [about talks] before [Monday] night.”

The Foreign Minister also confirmed that both Iran and the US were ready for the talks in Islamabad, and both parties had shown trust in Pakistan as a mediator.

He also confirmed that Pakistan handed the US’s 15-point conditions to Iran and Iran’s five-point conditions to the US.

Iran conveyed its response to a US proposal through Pakistan after two weeks of high-level deliberations, according to the state news agency IRNA.
