Ongoing repair works on the railway tracks will continue to force the closure of train services to other parts of the country for a second day in Balochistan.
The operation of trains from Balochistan was initially suspended on 9 July, and the suspension has been extended till Friday, 10 July, while maintenance is being undertaken on railway tracks, according to the Pakistan Railways.
The Jaffar Express leaving for Peshawar has been cancelled, and the Jaffar Express from Peshawar to Quetta will run till Jacobabad on Friday, railway officials said.
Pakistan Railways also said that the passengers who have been affected by the suspension will be given a complete fare refund.
Security forces sent 38 Fitna Al Hindustan Khwarij to hell in Balochistan
On 08 July, 2026, security forces killed 38 Fitna Al Hindustan Khwarij in a series of ongoing operations across Balochistan following the recent Ziarat and N-25 highway attacks, according to official sources.
The crackdown was launched in response to the recent terrorist incidents, with security forces carrying out multiple intelligence-based operations targeting terrorist hideouts and networks across the province. Officials said the operations remain underway, with efforts continuing to track down and eliminate remaining terrorists.
Sources added that authorities are planning a major retaliatory operation against terrorist groups operating inside Balochistan, as well as their handlers and facilitators based across the border in Afghanistan. Officials reaffirmed that security forces are committed to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace in the province, adding that operations will continue until those responsible for attacks on civilians and security personnel are brought to justice.
