The US President, Donald Trump, has announced a ceasefire for two weeks. There will be no strikes in Iran for 14 days, said the US President.
In his post on Truth Social, Trump said that based on the conversation held with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks.

Iran’s proposal to Trump
Trump claimed in his post that he received a 10-point proposal from Iran.
He said, “We received a 10-point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate.”
“Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two-week period will allow the Agreement to be finalised and consummated”, he added.
The US President said that this will be a double-sided ceasefire! After he announced a ceasefire between the US and Iran for two weeks.
Iran accepts ceasefire
The Islamic Republic of Iran has also reportedly accepted the offer of a two-week ceasefire.
A post on X said that Iran accepted the ceasefire deal after China persuaded it.
The post said, “A last-minute push by China helped persuade Iran to accept Pakistan’s two-week ceasefire proposal, with the truce ultimately approved by Mojtaba Khamenei, according to NYT, citing three Iranian officials.”
Oil prices falling after US-Iran ceasefire
Immediately after the announcement of the ceasefire, the oil prices fell rapidly.
As per the media reports, the oil prices have decreased below $99.
The stock markets all across the world have also gained momentum after this.
The United Nations (UN) and brotherly Islamic countries have also praised President Trump’s decision and Pakistan’s successful mediation.
Experts believe that these two weeks will be crucial for the future of the Middle East, where all eyes are now on possible ‘goodwill’ measures from Tehran.
