Cloudy weather rain likely in Lahore today

After other parts of the country, the Lahore weather turned pleasant on Wednesday (today) as cloudy weather covered the city with intermittent rainfall forecast throughout the day.

As per the Meteorological Department, the temperature was recorded at 18°C while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 23°C and the minimum may drop to 14°C. Humidity levels have climbed to nearly 80%, with winds blowing at a speed of around 10 km/h.

Weather experts have predicted rainfall in different parts of the city, which is likely to further enhance the pleasant conditions.

PMD predicts rain from April 5

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PDM) have already issued a new weather forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms in different cities across Pakistan from April 5 to April 9.

According to the press release issued by PMD, a hailstorm is expected in Punjab and Islamabad.

Widespread rain, windstorms and thunderstorms (with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms) are expected in Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Noorpur Thal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Pakpattan, Okara, Kasur and Sahiwal from April 6 (evening/night) to April 9.

Rain, windstorms and thunderstorms (with isolated hailstorms) are also expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan and Khanewal on April 6 and 7.

Heavy rainfall is also expected in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, and the upper districts between April 7 and 8.

The press release further said that windstorms and thunderstorms, along with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms, are expected in Sukkur, Kashmore, Ghotki, Jamshoro, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Qambar Shahdadkot.

The weather forecast added that heavy rainfall and hailstorm is likely in Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal and Karachi on April 6.
