The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has released an advisory stating that all facilitation centres, including the Traffic Office Faizabad, will be closed for licensing services on April 9 and 10.
An official from ITP stated on Wednesday that citizens should plan accordingly, as all licensing services will be suspended on the specified dates.
He mentioned that for additional information, citizens can reach out to the traffic helpline at 1915 or follow the social media pages of Islamabad Police and the ITP WhatsApp channel.
Holidays announced in Islamabad on April 9 and 10
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi released an official notification of holiday in Rawalpindi on April 9 and 10, 2026.
According to the notification released by the DC office of Rawalpindi, the Deputy Commissioner, Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema, announced the holiday on April 9 and 10, within the jurisdiction of Rawalpindi district.
The notification also said that emergency departments, institutions and authorities will remain operational.
The holiday has been announced as a result of peace talks to be conducted between the US and Iran to be held in Islamabad.
Margalla hiking trails closed on April 9 and 10
Islamabad district administration also issued a notification of the closure of Margalla hiking trails due to tight security for the US-Iran talks in Islamabad.
According to the issued notification by the Islamabad district administration, the Margalla trails will remain closed for all citizens on April 9th and 10th.
The notification further confirmed that trails 2, trail 3, trail 4, trail 5 and trail behind Saidpur village would remain closed for the general public.
