The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that all its offices located in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) will be closed on April 9 and 10, 2026, in accordance with the local holiday notification released by the Islamabad administration.
In its public announcement, the authority stated that this closure will affect all NADRA offices in Islamabad on Thursday and Friday.
Additionally, NADRA specified that its mega centers, which operate 24 hours a day, will be closed from 8 AM on Thursday until 8 AM on Saturday.
Nevertheless, the authority announced that its offices in Rawalpindi will maintain regular operations, providing some assistance to residents of the twin cities who may require in-person services throughout the closure period.
For residents of Islamabad impacted by the shutdown, NADRA said that various services will continue to be accessible via the Pak ID mobile application.
Islamabad police issues traffic plan for April 9, 10
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police have also released a special traffic plan for the movement of foreign delegations on April 9 and 10.
In a post on X, Islamabad police stated, “A special traffic plan has been arranged in connection with the arrival and departure of foreign delegations on April 9 and 10.”
In view of the holidays, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) released an advisory stating that all facilitation centres, including the Traffic Office Faizabad, will be closed for licensing services on April 9 and 10.
An official from ITP stated on Wednesday that citizens should plan accordingly, as all licensing services will be suspended on the specified dates.
