Exams postponed in Islamabad

The exams scheduled for today and tomorrow in Red Zone, Islamabad have been postponed due to ongoing diplomatic activities in Islamabad.

The new dates for these exams will be announced at a later date.

According to the notification that was issued by the Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad, the exams that were going to happen at Centre A and B of Islamabad Model school for Boys, G-6/4 have been postponed.

Other than that the exams scheduled on April 9 and 10 at Islamabad Model School for Girls, Prime Minister’s Staff colony will also not be held.

Concerned students have been advised by the notification to wait for the new schedule.

Matriculation exams scheduled for April 10 in Rawalpindi city have been postponed across 64 examination centres.

The postponement specifically affects the Urdu Compulsory and Geography papers, while exams in other districts of the Rawalpindi Division will proceed as scheduled. A new date for these postponed papers will be announced later.

In another development due to tightened security in Islamabad the metro bus service running in the twin cities has also been restricted.

On the instructions of the district administration, the metro bus service has been limited; now the metro bus service will remain operational from Saddar Station to PIMS, while the metro bus service from PIMS Station to Pak Secretariat has been suspended.

For the arrival and departure of the high-profile American and Iranian delegations, a comprehensive traffic management plan for April 9 and 10 has been finalised.

The Red Zone will be completely cordoned off; however, the majority of the city arteries will be open to the public.

The Islamabad Expressway from Zero Point to Koral Chowk and the Old Airport Road will stay closed to all traffic from both directions during this period.
