Indian media in panic as Pakistan takes global stage in US-Iran talks

Indian media in panic over US-Iran talks in Pakistan

Pakistan’s proactive and effective diplomacy has achieved what many believed was impossible, bringing the United States and Iran to the negotiating table in Islamabad amid rising tensions that had sparked fears of a wider global conflict.

As host and mediator, Pakistan has played a pivotal role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides, helping ease hostilities and paving the way for de-escalation. With both delegations now in Islamabad, global attention has shifted to the Pakistani capital, where crucial talks are underway.

International media outlets have praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and arrangements, highlighting its role in promoting peace at a critical moment. However, across the border, Indian media is in panic, as the development challenges earlier narratives questioning Pakistan’s diplomatic capabilities.

High-level visits, including that of US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian leadership figures such as Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi, have further underscored the significance of the talks.

Prior to these developments, segments of Indian media had circulated claims suggesting the talks would fail or that key delegations might not attend. Reports also questioned the security of visiting officials in Pakistan.

However, those narratives have been dismantled following the successful arrival of delegations. In one widely circulated exchange, a US diplomat, Jeffrey Gunter, dismissed such concerns, saying that American officials would be fully safe in Pakistan and criticizing attempts to politicize a matter concerning global peace.

Observers note that while Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are being acknowledged internationally, the developments have sparked unease in India, where media discourse has intensified in response to Islamabad’s growing global visibility.

Analysts say Pakistan’s mediation efforts from the outset of the crisis have contributed to opening channels for dialogue, contrasting with competing regional narratives. As talks continue, Islamabad remains at the center of global diplomatic attention.

Earlier, In an attempt to cover up its embarrassment, the Indian media has resorted to baseless anti-Pakistan propaganda and fabricated questions.

During a live TV interview, former US diplomat Jeffrey Gunther strongly rebuked an Indian anchor and showed him the mirror.

It is worth mentioning that during a live show on an Indian news channel, when the anchor tried to raise a “foolish” question regarding the security of US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad, Jeffrey Gunther became angry and, said that “the U.S. Vice President is completely safe in Pakistan.”
