The Punjab government has provided 460 scholarships for talented male and female students from the province the government of Balochistan has announced.
The scholarships are being offered under the Punjab Education Endowment Fund and from eligible candidates’ applications have been formally invited.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that educational cooperation between Punjab and Balochistan is opening doors to quality education for deserving students in the province.

He said the scholarship program marks a significant step toward expanding higher education opportunities for students in Balochistan, helping improve academic standards while ensuring equal access for talented individuals from underprivileged backgrounds.
Bugti added that in the past, access to top educational institutions in the country was largely limited to the elite, but government policies are now enabling students from modest families to secure admissions in leading institutions.
Highlighting a recent example, he noted that the son of a van driver gaining admission to a prestigious institution reflects this positive change.
The chief minister also expressed gratitude to Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the initiative, saying it will brighten the future of students from Balochistan and contribute to the province’s development.
He said the government’s commitment to ensuring quality education as a fundamental right for every child and pledged to continue efforts in this direction.
