On Tuesday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari directed the expansion of the pink electric scooter for women across Sindh.
The decision was made during a series of meetings at Bilawal House. Key public issues were discussed and reviewed in the meetings.
The meeting was with a Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. He briefed Bilawal on the ongoing distribution of pink electric scooters in Karachi.
He expressed satisfaction over the initiative. Then he instructed authorities to extend the program in phases to women across the province.
The officials have now decided that the scheme will be rolled out in Sukkur and Hyderabad. Soon distribution ceremonies will be held in these places.

Under this initiative, the electric scooters are being provided free of cost to eligible women. This will improve mobility and access to employment and education.
The eligibility criteria state that the applicants must be permanent residents of Sindh. They also need to be working women or students.
It is also mandatory to hold a valid driving license for a car or a motorbike.
It was also announced by officials that the beneficiaries will not be allowed to transfer or sell the scooter for at least years.
The beneficiaries that will be selected through the transparent balloting process will be required to undergo a road safety skill test.
Free training programs in Sindh will also be conducted by the authorities across Sindh with the necessary riding skills.
