The US President Donald Trump once again praised Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for making serious efforts for peace in the region. Trump recently said in an interview with a global media outlet that PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir have good relations with the Iranians.
He further stated, “They are close to Iran and trying to work something out, and I think they are being very successful.”
Trump also said, “PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are great people.”
2nd round of peace talks between US, Iran
It is pertinent to mention that several media reports confirmed the 2nd round of peace talks in Islamabad. Earlier, the US President Donald Trump also confirmed that there is a possibility of peace talks in Islamabad between the US and Iran. He told one of the US journalists present in Pakistan right now on a phone call. President Trump told her to stay in Pakistan for a few days as the 2nd round of talks could be possible in Islamabad.

Earlier, the US President Donald Trump praised PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for playing a key role as mediators between the US and Iran. At the same time, the spokesperson of the White House also confirmed that Pakistan is the only mediator between the US and Iran.
International media reports state that the second phase of the peace talks between the United States (US) and Iran will be held at the end of next week in Islamabad, and security agencies have been directed to make the required arrangements on Wednesday.
Although no official confirmation has been made by the Pakistani officials yet, sources claim that the talks will be held by the end of next week.
