PSL 11: Lahore Qalandars set 211-run target for Rawalpindi

Lahore Qalandars produced a commanding performance to defeat Rawalpindi by 54 runs in the 27th match of PSL 11 at the National Bank Stadium. Chasing a target of 211, Rawalpindi were bowled out for just 135 runs in their allotted overs.

Despite a fighting 58 from Yasir Khan and 24 runs from Saad Masood, the innings never gained momentum as eight batters failed to reach double figures.

Captain Muhammad Rizwan managed only 9 runs, while Shahzeb Khan scored 7. Daryl Mitchell contributed 11 runs, and Sam Billings was dismissed for 7. Lahore Qalandars’ bowlers maintained tight control throughout the innings, ensuring a comfortable victory for their side.

For Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Usama Mir took two wickets each, while Daniel Sims and Sikandar Raza claimed one wicket each. Fakhar Zaman played a brilliant innings of 84 runs off 54 balls, including 11 fours and a six.

Muhammad Farooq also stood out with 63 runs. Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed for 26 runs, Sikandar Raza was out for a duck, and Asif Ali contributed 14 runs.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars had posted a competitive total in the 27th match of PSL 11, setting a target of 211 runs for Rawalpindi.

At the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, Lahore Qalandars finished their innings at 210/4 in the allotted overs, putting Rawalpindi under pressure with a 211-run chase.

Star batter Fakhar Zaman led the charge with a superb 84 off 54 deliveries, smashing 11 fours and a six in an impactful knock that anchored the innings.

Muhammad Farooq also stood out with 63 runs, while Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed for 26 runs. Sikandar Raza was dismissed for a duck by Razaullah, and Asif Ali scored 14 runs. For Rawalpindi, Muhammad Amir and Razaullah took two wickets each. Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and chose to bat first.
