The spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, addressed a press conference, stating that Iran will continue to safeguard its national interests under all circumstances.
He said that Iran currently has no intention of participating in the second round of negotiations, nor does it plan to engage in talks with Washington at this stage.
Baghaei further claimed that the United States is still insisting on unrealistic demands, which is hindering any diplomatic progress.
He also accused the United States of violating the ceasefire agreement by imposing a maritime blockade, calling it a breach of the truce.
The Iranian spokesperson added that the U.S. “made a mistake” regarding the ceasefire, and said that Iran has already informed the Pakistani mediator about its position.

Speaking on the latest developments, Baghaei stated that there has been no change in US policies, warning that such an approach will not lead to positive outcomes. He added that the continuation of what he described as American “mistakes” could pose serious risks to regional stability.
He accused the United States of engaging in a blame game against Iran, saying it has become a consistent part of Washington’s policy. Baghaei also warned that any new aggression by the U.S. or Israel would be met with a strong and decisive response.
The spokesperson emphasised that Iranian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any attack, adding that there will be no compromise on national security. He stressed that Iran cannot sacrifice its national interests under pressure or “bullying” by any country.
Baghaei further said that Iran has no plans to enter a new round of negotiations with the United States. He also criticised Europe for failing to take a clear stance on what he described as war crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.
He expressed appreciation for what he called the responsible positions taken by Russia and China.
