The General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi has announced multiple job vacancies for retired, released, or retiring Army officers.
These positions are available for re-employment as Civilian Gazetted Officers (CGOs) in different military formations across the country.
The jobs are available in Rawalpindi, Attock, Risalpur, Abbottabad, and Shinkiari.
Army jobs Pakistan: available posts
A total of 26 vacancies have been announced for officers of the rank of Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel, and Major.
These posts include roles that are related to military history, regimental centres, record management, staff duties, education, accounts, training, and administration.
Additionally, specialised positions are also available. These include opportunities for psychologists, database officers, network officers, system administrators, and instructors in statistics and physics.
Most positions require at least a graduation degree.
Some of the posts require higher qualifications, such as Master’s degrees in Psychology, Mass Communication, Accounting, or related fields.

GHQ Rawalpindi jobs 2026: eligibility criteria
Applicants must be retired, released, or retiring Army officers to apply for these positions.
The age limit is up to 54 years for Colonels and 52 years or below for Lieutenant Colonels and Majors.
Additionally, only those officers who have retired within the last two years are eligible.
Officers with disciplinary issues, cases involving misconduct, compulsory retirement due to inefficiency, or those with medical category “EEE” are not eligible.
Candidates must also have relevant experience and qualifications according to the job requirements of the role they are looking to apply to.
How to apply for retired army jobs
You can get the application forms from the AG’s Branch (CP Directorate / CP-IV) at GHQ Rawalpindi or from the nearest Station Headquarters.
Photocopies of the form are also acceptable, according to the details.
Applicants have to submit their forms in triplicate along with four passport-size photographs, a copy of their CNIC, and copies of their educational certificates.
A bank draft of Rs2500 in favour of DCP must also be submitted to the AG’s Branch, CP Directorate (CP-IV), GHQ Rawalpindi, within 20 days.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for tests and interviews. These will be held at their own expense.
Last date to apply
The last date to apply for these positions is April 25, 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
