The President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that during his address at the Gilgit-Baltistan Parliamentary board, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played an important role for Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif also said that the leadership of PML-N will stand for the people of Gilgit Baltistan, adding that no one better knows Gilgit Baltistan except PML-N.
The former prime minister said that the PML-N, as a political party, did so much for Gilgit-Baltistan. He further said the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is sincere with the people of Gilgit Baltistan.
Nawaz Sharif praised PM Shehbaz
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that he has played a strong role in both political and defence spheres, adding that the green passport has regained respect since 1998. He praised the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Field Marshal for their outstanding contributions to the country, saying that Allah is granting Pakistan honour.
He stated that both the federal government and Punjab are making significant progress in development, urging other provinces to follow Punjab’s example. Nawaz Sharif added that the Pakistan Muslim League-N believes in practical steps and results.
He also said that joint efforts will be made to resolve the issues of Gilgit-Baltistan, stressing that the region is as dear as any other part of Pakistan. Criticising the long-standing government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he questioned whether the people there have experienced any real relief over the past 15 years.
