PTI goes mad, decides to hold KP Assembly session at Imran Khan stadium

PTI decides to hold session at Imran Khan Stadium

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership is not in their senses as the party decided to hold the session of the KP Assembly at Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar. Several journalists and analysts termed this act a publicity stunt.

Several analysts also criticised the KP government for not using the KP Provincial Assembly to hold sessions. Several journalists also said that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, doesn’t seem democratic, as conducting the KP Assembly Session at Imran Khan stadium is not a mature decision.

Earlier, the KP Assembly’s Secretariat issued a notification to hold the session at Imran Khan Stadium.

It is important to mention that this type of tactic will not help PTI to release their incarcerated leader, Iman Khan. Several social media posts are making fun of PTI leadership for holding the session at Imran Khan Stadium.

Several media analysts tried to remind the KP government that the stadium is for sports, not for official assembly sessions.

However, several social media reports confirmed that the KP Assembly members refused to sit in the sun for the session at Imran Khan Stadium. On the other hand, journalists witnessed a few PTI members joining the KP Assembly session at Imran Khan Stadium.

The speaker of the KP Assembly said they chose an open venue so people can directly watch how their elected representatives perform and to improve transparency in the democratic process.

He added that the move also aims to boost public participation and bring citizens closer to lawmakers.

On the other hand, PTI workers are criticising party leadership for not making efforts for the release of Imran Khan. Several videos are going viral in which PTI workers are criticising party leadership, particularly CM KP Sohail Afridi, for not doing anything for the release of Imran Khan.
