Renowned actress, Bushra Ansari has recently expressed disappointment over controversial comments made by Firdous Jamal about prominent figures in the acting industry.
Firdous Jamal was recently featured on a podcast where he made some controversial statements.
The actor expressed negative views about Talat Hussain, Khayam Sarhadi, Shafi Mohammad, and Rahat Kazmi. He also criticised Abid Ali, saying that none of these people possessed acting skills.
His comments faced criticism from millions, particularly because many of the artists he criticised are no longer alive.
Bushra Ansari replied to these comments during a recent vlog on YouTube titled, ‘Tameez Please Enough Is Enough!’
She said, “I admit that mediocre actors sometimes lack good acting skills. But it does not give anyone a right to criticise them. We don’t act this way in the industry, it is one of our traditions that you respect your colleagues.”
“And if there seems to be a problem in the dialogue delivery, our directors tell us. Even I listen to younger directors than me because it is their job and I respect that and nobody can call them out since they are professionals”, she added.
Bushra Ansari also talked about giving respect to directors regardless of their age, “When you have committed to someone and have accepted him as a director, even if he is your son or daughter, if they tell me to fix a dialogue or my acting 10 times, I will do it 10 times.”
“But criticising the acting skills of your colleages, especially on social media is extremely inappropriate. You know who I am talking about.”, she further added.
