Quetta Gladiators have exited from the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) 2026.

Their exit brought attention to the rising Pakistani star Usman Tariq. This is because Rilee Rossouw recently revealed that the spinner was dealing with an eye problem ahead of the team’s must-win clash against Karachi Kings.

After Quetta’s defeat Usman Tariq was speaking to the journalists when he was asked why Usman Tariq’s performance was not as good as usual. The Karachi Kings batter was able to deal with him more easily than most.

In answer, Rossouw explained that the spinner Usman Tariq has been struggling with eye issues and before the match had even gone and seen a doctor.

The skipper of Quetta Gladiator further explained that this problem had a negative effect on the spinner’s depth perception.

This made the condition even more difficult during the high-pressure game.

Even though Usman Tariq had this condition, he still made himself available and played through the issue. The skipper of Quetta Gladiators praised Usman Tariq’s dedication to the game.

Usman Tariq was backed by Rossouw strongly and it was made clear by him that one match in difficult conditions does not define him.

He further called Usman the best in the game and described his performance as one bad day rather than a sign of decline.

The skipper of Quetta Gladiators further expressed confidence that the spinner would recover and would easily bounce back for Pakistan. He further predicted that he would easily become the country’s top spinner.

Fans are now concerned about the immediate future of Usman Tariq. Both Usman Tariq fans and cricket fans in general are hopeful that the eye issue is resolved and is nothing permanent.
