The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has praised the Pakistan Army over the successful launch of the Fateh-II missile.

On April 28, she made a statement, congratulating the military personnel, engineers, and scientists who carried out the test fire.

She said, “It is a significant demonstration of Pakistan’s defence capabilities.”

Maryam Nawaz added that the Fateh-II missile is equipped with modern avionics and advanced navigation technology, enabling it to strike targets with high precision at a range of up to 400 kilometres.

She added, “The range, proficiency, and survivability of Pakistan’s conventional missile systems will continue to improve.”

“The Fateh-II missile is also designed to evade and defeat enemy missile defence systems, further strengthening Pakistan’s strategic deterrence”, said Maryam Nawaz.

Pakistan Army launches Fateh-II missile successfully

The Army Rocket Force Command carried out a successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II missile system on Tuesday.

The missile is equipped with modern avionics and advanced navigation systems.

According to the  Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the purpose of the launch was to train troops and test technical performance.

Additionally, to evaluate different parts of the system for better accuracy and survivability.

The Fateh-II missile can hit targets at medium range with high speed and accuracy. Its modern guidance system allows it to perform well even in changing battlefield conditions.

The test was also aimed at assessing the practical skills and research abilities of the soldiers.

This is, along with the technical strength of the missile system.

The launch was seen by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command, and Pakistan Army.

Additionally, it was also seen by scientists and engineers from strategic organisations. They appreciated the successful test of the Fateh missile.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chief of Defence Forces and the Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other service chiefs praised the team for their hard work, skill, and dedication.
