The film “Mera Lyari” is a sports film set against the backdrop of Karachi’s Lyari area. It is expected to highlight the real image of the area and local talent.

Actress Ayesha Omar’s film “Mera Lyari” has been included in the 28th edition of the UK Asian Film Festival.
The story of the film revolves around Lyari’s sports culture, local civilisation, and women’s empowerment, presenting a different and positive image of the area.
The film was initially planned to be released under the name “Behnaz”, however, after the release of the Indian propaganda film “Dhurandhar”, its name was changed to “Mera Lyari”, after which it remained in the news.
