What is Overseas Pakistanis Property Bill 2026

The overseas Pakistanis Property Bill 2026 has been approved. According to the bill, the special courts will be established for the protection of the property of overseas Pakistanis.

According to the details, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the Overseas Pakistanis Property Bill 2026. This bill will help to protect the properties and solve issues related to the properties of overseas Pakistanis.

The special courts will be established to protect the properties of overseas Pakistanis as per the approved bill by the KP government.
The special courts will hear the cases related to the reclamation of land and other property-related matters of overseas Pakistanis.

The media reports confirmed that these courts will be established with the counsel of the Peshawar High Court.

The provincial law minister, Aftab Alam, presented the bill in the KP Assembly. The district judges or the experienced lawyers will be recruited as judge for the special courts. According to the law, the overseas Pakistanis will be able to submit an online application.

On the other hand, the facility of video call will also be provided for recording the statement. The law will also bind the special court to announce the decision on property-related issues within 120 days.

The bill grants courts broad powers to prevent the illegal transfer of property, issue immediate stay orders, and stop unlawful sales, while heavy fines may be imposed on applicants if a case is proven false.

Under the law, appeals against a court’s final decision can be filed within 15 days, while the High Court will be bound to decide the appeal within 90 days.

All pending property-related cases will be transferred to the new special courts.
