Punjab exhibition to celebrate Pak-China friendship

Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has directed authorities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China in a grand way.

Authorities will hold special ceremonies on May 21 and May 25 to mark 75 years of ties between the two countries.

Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb shared these details during a meeting with Chinese Consul General Sun Yan in Lahore, where she welcomed the Chinese delegation.

Marriyum Aurangzeb conveyed good wishes from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to the Chinese leadership and people. Both sides reviewed cooperation in different sectors and discussed future projects.
She said Punjab will organise a three-day exhibition from May 21, followed by a major ceremony on May 25.

The minister said Punjab is using China’s development experience to support the province’s progress. She added that the 75-year relationship reflects the strong friendship between the two countries.

She also described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as an important symbol of Pakistan-China friendship and praised Xi Jinping and Nawaz Sharif for strengthening bilateral ties.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said cooperation between China’s Zhejiang province and Punjab will help increase trade, while the Punjab government is also working with China on tourism and environmental restoration projects.
