Pakistan Head Coach of white-ball team Mike Hesson has stated that the Pakistan national cricket team are fully focused on preparations for the upcoming series against the Australia national cricket team.

Speaking at the white-ball training camp in Lahore, Hesson revealed that the squad is playing a warm-up match as part of its preparations. The head coach said several new faces have joined the camp, providing an ideal opportunity to build understanding between emerging and experienced players.

He said that although the temperature is around 43°C and the weather is extremely hot, the players are training well. Hesson also said that it feels good to be back in Pakistan after dealing with some health issues before his return.

He added that he greatly enjoyed watching the Pakistan Super League, where several new players impressed him. He also noted that short boundaries on one side of the ground could create challenges for bowlers. The Pakistan white-ball team coach reiterated that the squad is preparing strongly for the series against Australia.

Pakistan-Australia matches schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board had officially unveiled the schedule for the Australia national cricket team’s upcoming tour of Pakistan in 2026. The visitors are set to arrive in Islamabad on 23 May for a three-match ODI series against the Pakistan national cricket team.

The opening ODI will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 30 May. The remaining two matches are scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium on 2 June and 4 June.

All three matches will begin at 4:30 PM local time, with the toss scheduled for 4:00 PM.

This will mark Australia’s first ODI tour of Pakistan since their 2022 visit, when the two sides competed in a full bilateral series featuring three Tests, one T20I, and three ODIs. Australia secured the Test series 1-0, while Pakistan bounced back strongly in the 50-over format to clinch the ODI series 2-1.
