What is Cockroach Janta Party in India

Cockroach Janta Party is a parody of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Gen Z of India, who are frustrated due to unemployment in the country, made the party with the name of Cockroach Janta Party.

A young man and a student of Boston University named Abhijeet Dipke organised this party. The Cockroach Janta Party is basically a satirical movement against Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party.

Earlier, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice Surya Kant named the unemployed youth of India as Cockroaches. In the response, the Gen Z of India made a party with the name of Cockroach Janta Party.

It is pertinent to mention that the founding president of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Abhijeet Dipke, said that CJP is a political front of the youth, by the youth, for the youth.

Currently, the Cockroach Janta Party has more than 16 million followers on Instagram. On the other hand, the BJP has only 8.8 million followers on Instagram.

Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi appears to be trying hard to stay relevant after being sidelined from the peace talks in Islamabad.

Recently, Modi posted an 18-second video on X showing a small crowd at one of his rallies.

Sharing the clip, he wrote: “Some special moments before the rally begins in Siliguri. This frenzy of people towards the BJP is unimaginable!”

Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

India was completely isolated from the talks despite longstanding political, economic and energy ties across the Middle East.
