The Grammy-winning artist, Miley Cyrus, received a star on the famous Los Angeles boulevard, the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.
Cyrus is now the 2,845th celebrity to achieve this honor.
Cyrus was met with enthusiastic applause from devoted fans who gathered to see their beloved pop star receive this accolade.
The singer of “One in a Million” took to the stage to express her appreciation for the recognition.
Upon receiving the star, Miley Cyrus shared, “What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion.”
“The star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something that you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make the next record for and then tote it around like a trophy. My name is laid in gold and pink terrazzo!!”
“From this day forward, I pledge to perpetuate the cycle of creativity because that is what I genuinely live for,” she remarked. “My aspiration is that what I leave behind continues to resonate with the hearts of future generations, ones that I will not be present to witness.”
