The cattle markets of the country are seeing off-the-scale activity with traders flocking to these markets with all kinds of sacrificial cattle.
Special cattle markets have been opened in various major cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta and in smaller towns and will remain in operation till the third day of Eid.
However, many citizens are finding it difficult to purchase animals due to soaring prices amid inflation.
This year, prices of sacrificial animals have skyrocketed, such that goats which used to sell for approximately Rs50,000 are now being sold for more than Rs100,000.
Larger animals have also seen a significant increase in prices, and citizens have called for an action by authorities to deal with these price increases and aid buyers.
