The shockwave from the Quetta blast destroyed nearby buildings and vehicles, including a girls’ high school building.
The video shows severe destruction inside the damaged structure. Mirrors were shattered, and chairs and books were scattered and badly damaged after the Quetta blast.
The Government Girls High School, Postal Colony, located near Chaman Phatak, was close to the site of the explosion.

Several women and children also sustained injuries in the explosion.
The incident comes at a time when Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are on foreign visits aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.
According to reports, the shuttle train was heading from Quetta Cantonment to the railway station when it was targeted near Chaman Phatak shortly after 8am.
The blast was loud enough to be heard in various distant areas of the city and caused damage to nearby buildings
After the Quetta blast, medical emergency was declared in Quetta’s hospitals, with all doctors, paramedical staff, and medical personnel summoned to duty.
Evidence collection and investigations are underway.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the “heinous” blast.
