You can now win Rs5 lakh to Rs1 million cash prizes under the Punjab wheat yield competition, organised by the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
If you are a farmer, you can participate in the Punjab wheat yield competition, through which you can win prizes in cash, based on your wheat production.
The latest results of the wheat production competitions were announced by the Punjab Agriculture Department under an initiative of the Punjab CM, aimed at encouraging farmers to adopt modern farming practices and increase crop productivity.
Farmers in Sargodha district have been awarded cash prizes up to Rs1 million after achieving some of the highest wheat yields per acre in a production competition organised by the Punjab government.
According to the official results, Muhammad Aamir Hussain Khan, son of Muhammad Ismail Khan, secured first position in Sargodha district after producing a record wheat yield of 51.4846 maunds per acre. He received a cash prize of Rs1 million from the provincial government.
Second place was awarded to Asghar Abbas, son of Atta Muhammad, who achieved a wheat yield of 49.2925 maunds per acre. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs800,000.

Muhammad Akbar, son of Bashir Ahmed, claimed third position with a yield of 48.4202 maunds per acre and was rewarded with Rs500,000 as prize money.
The competition was held as part of the Punjab government’s efforts to promote agricultural innovation and improve wheat production across the province.
Officials said that the initiative is intended to recognise high-performing farmers while encouraging others to adopt advanced cultivation techniques.
According to the Directorate General of Agricultural Information, Punjab, such competitions play an important role in boosting productivity and supporting the agriculture sector, which remains a key contributor to the province’s economy.
