Arsalan Butt sends legal notice to Mamya Shahjaffar over defamation

Arsalan butt legal notice mamya shahjaffar, mamya jaffar, arsalan butt, arsalan butt defamation case

Pakistani actor Arsalan Butt has sent a legal notice to fellow actor Mamya Shahjaffar over defamation.

Arsalan Butt has rejected all of the allegations made by Mamya Jaffar during a recent interview in which she claimed that Arsalan had harassed her and demanded a public apology.

The dispute stems from an interview aired on YouTube in which Mamya Shah Jaffar spoke about the alleged behaviour of a fellow actor during a project.

Although she referred to the individual only as “Arsalan”, she later clarified on social media that she was not referring to actor Arsalan Khan.

The controversy intensified after television host Iffat Omar reportedly suggested that the actor being discussed was Arsalan Butt.

In the interview, which was held on May 21, Mamya Jaffar alleged that the actor had behaved inappropriately towards her on set.

She claimed that Arsalan made comments about her appearance and body, and described several incidents that she said made her uncomfortable.

Among the allegations, she said the actor made remarks about her physical appearance and suggested changes to her diet.

She also recounted an incident in which she said she repeatedly asked not to be touched, but alleged that her request was ignored.

Mamya Jaffar further claimed that during a discussion on literature and feminism, the actor became aggressive after a disagreement and used inappropriate language towards her.

While responding to the allegations, Arsalan Butt’s legal team described them as false, baseless, malicious and defamatory.

The legal notice states that the claims have caused serious damage to the actor’s reputation and subjected him to mental distress, humiliation and public embarrassment.

The notice demands that Mamya Shah Jaffar withdraw the allegations, take steps to remove the allegedly defamatory content, issue an unconditional public apology and refrain from repeating similar claims in the future.

The notice further warned that if the demands are not met within 14 days, Arsalan Butt’s legal team may pursue civil defamation proceedings, criminal action and other available proceedings under Pakistani law.
