In Peshawar and most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, weather conditions are likely to remain hot and dry throughout the day. The PMD has also forecast rain in Islamabad this evening, with the possibility of heavy downpours in several parts of the federal capital.

The temperature in Peshawar may rise to 39°C, while humidity has been recorded at 48 per cent.

Weather conditions are expected to be relatively more pleasant in the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with light rainfall forecast at isolated locations in Swat, Chitral, and Dir.

The Met Office warned that intense heat is likely to persist in the plains and advised citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and follow precautionary measures.

Rain is also expected at a few places in the Pothohar Region, Kashmir and Punjab.

Earlier, the PMD issued a weather forecast for Karachi. According to the forecast, the weather in Karachi will remain hot and humid from Friday to Sunday, May 29 to 31, 2026.

The PMD has said that people in Karachi should prepare for uncomfortable weather. High temperatures and humidity will continue throughout the weekend.
