Speaking at the event for the United States (US) 250th birthday, US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker said that Pakistan and the US share strong and long-standing relations based on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared interests.
She said that the partnership between the two countries continues to grow in different areas and has strong potential to become even stronger in the future.
Natalie Baker also said that the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the US is moving forward through a shared spirit of cooperation.
She added that both countries are working together to promote peace, stability, economic growth, and public welfare in the region.
Further, she also said that President Trump appreciated the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal Asim Munir regarding the Iran ceasefire.
She further said that the US values its relationship with Pakistan and wants to expand cooperation in areas such as education, trade, energy, health, climate change, and people to people exchanges.
She added that the strong ties and mutual trust between the people of both countries are an important part of this partnership.
The US Chargé d’Affaires also spoke about the 250 year history of the US. She said that it is a story of democratic values, innovation, progress, and global cooperation.
She expressed the commitment of the US to continue strengthening positive and constructive relations with its partner countries around the world.
PM Shehbaz calls US President Trump ‘man of peace’
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening relations with the US while addressing the ceremony today.
Sharif said that Pakistan “values its relations with the United States” and praised the leadership of President Donald Trump.
He said that positive engagement between Islamabad and Washington is important for regional stability and prosperity.
Further, PM Shehbaz said that under the visionary leadership of President Donald Trump, the US continues to move forward.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing relationship with the US. He said the partnership has continued for more than eight decades.
He also noted that the US was one of the first countries to recognise Pakistan after its independence. He also mentioned that former US President Harry S Truman sent a congratulatory letter to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which helped lay the foundation for relations between the two countries.
