Here are the latest updates regarding the results of the Gilgat Baltistan elections 2026.
The unofficial and provisional results from the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Assembly elections are continuing, with candidates from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), independent candidates and other parties locked in closely fought contests across several constituencies.
Early unofficial results suggest PPP holds an advantage in a number of constituencies, although several races remain too close to call.
GBA 1 Gilgit 1
According to unofficial results from 68 of 80 polling stations, PPP candidate Amjad Hussain is leading with 9,271 votes, while PML-N’s Muhammad Shafiquddin is second with 4,907 votes.
GBA 2 Gilgit 2
Unofficial results from 27 of 91 polling stations show PML-N’s Hafeez-ur-Rehman ahead with 4,129 votes. PPP candidate Jameel Ahmad is in second place with 2,695 votes.
GBA 3 Gilgit 3
Early counting showed changing leads during the vote count. However, according to unofficial results from all 82 polling stations, independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas has won the seat with 7,877 votes. PPP candidate Aftab Haider Advocate finished second with 7,361 votes.
GBA 4 Nagar 1
Unofficial results from all 53 polling stations indicate that PPP’s Muhammad Ali Akhtar has won the constituency with 7,530 votes. Muhammad Ayub Waziri of Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan came second with 6,491 votes.
GBA 5 Nagar 2
With results from 15 of 32 polling stations counted, independent candidate Jahangir Shah is leading with 1,108 votes, followed by PML-N’s Javed Ali Manwa with 838 votes.
GBA 6 Hunza
Unofficial results from 77 of 88 polling stations place independent candidate Nik Nam Karim in the lead with 5,612 votes. PPP’s Imtiaz-ul-Haq is second with 4,540 votes.
GBA 7 Skardu 1
According to unofficial results from all 31 polling stations, PPP candidate Syed Taqeer Mehdi has won the seat with 4,337 votes. IPP’s Raja Jalal Hussain Khan received 3,891 votes.
GBA 8 Skardu 2
Results from 24 of 70 polling stations show PPP’s Syed Muhammad Ali Shah leading with 3,746 votes. Muhammad Kazim of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen is second with 3,265 votes.
GBA 9 Skardu 3
PPP candidate Fida Muhammad Nashad has won the constituency with 6,314 votes, according to unofficial results from all 54 polling stations. Independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem received 6,106 votes.
GBA 10 Skardu 4
Results from nine of 51 polling stations show Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen candidate Mushtaq Hussain leading with 1,059 votes, ahead of PPP’s Nasir Ali Khan, who has 947 votes.
GBA 11 Kharmang
Unofficial results from 10 polling stations indicate PPP candidate Iqbal Hassan is leading with 1,255 votes. Independent candidate Shujaat Hussain is second with 831 votes.
GBA 12 Shigar
PPP candidate Imran Nadeem is ahead with 1,541 votes, according to results from 10 of 71 polling stations. PML-N’s Tahir Shigri has secured 875 votes.
GBA 13
In Astor-I, PPP candidate Fahad Hanif is leading with 2,130 votes after results from 20 polling stations. PML-N’s Rana Farman Ali is second with 1,853 votes.
GBA 14 Astore 2
PML-N candidate Rana Muhammad Farooq holds a narrow lead with 3,390 votes after results from 24 polling stations. IPP candidate Shams-ul-Haq Lone is close behind with 3,383 votes, making it one of the tightest contests so far.
GBA 16 Diamir 2
Results from seven of 42 polling stations show IPP’s Atiqullah leading with 1,225 votes. PML-N candidate Muhammad Anwar has secured 867 votes.
GBA 18 Diamir 4
PML-N’s Kifayat-ur-Rehman is ahead with 1,256 votes after results from five polling stations, while IPP’s Gulbar Khan follows with 1,162 votes.
GBA 19 Ghizar 1
According to unofficial results from 21 of 78 polling stations, PML-N candidate Zafar Muhammad is leading with 2,233 votes. Independent candidate Nawaz Khan Naji is close behind with 2,155 votes in a tightly contested race.
GBA 20 Ghizar 2
Independent candidate Safdar Ali Shirazi is leading with 1,530 votes after results from 20 of 69 polling stations. PML-N candidate Abdul Jahan has secured 1,504 votes.
GBA 21 Ghizar 3
Early results from one polling station show PPP candidate Muhammad Ayub Shah leading with 87 votes. PML-N’s Ghulam Muhammad has received 70 votes.
GBA 22 Ghanche 1
PML-N candidate Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai is leading with 951 votes after results from seven polling stations. PPP candidate Ashiq Hussain has secured 888 votes.
GBA 23 Ghanche 2
Results from eight polling stations show PML-N’s Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai ahead with 1,209 votes. PPP’s Ashiq Hussain is second with 945 votes.
GBA 24 Ghanche 3
Independent candidate Asad Shafiq is leading with 4,419 votes after results from 26 of 46 polling stations. PPP candidate Muhammad Ismail has secured 2,830 votes.
Several constituencies remain closely contested, and the overall picture is expected to become clearer as results from the remaining polling stations are announced. All figures remain unofficial and provisional.
