One of the digital banks in Pakistan, Easypaisa, faced service disruption on June 11, Thursday.
In their Instagram story, Easypaisa apologised to the public for the discomfort and the halt to their transactions.
According to the media reports, the users faced multiple complications, including login trouble with their accounts even after they entered the five-digit PIN number.
The accounts of retailers, shopkeepers, and vendors stayed all good, while the accounts of the basic customers reportedly had glitches.
Many users also reported that the biometric verification service was also out of order.
The company has explained the whole situation in their Instagram story, stating, “We are currently experiencing intermittent service disruptions affecting some users. Our teams are actively working to resolve the issue and restore services as quickly as possible”.

Thousands of Easypaisa users across Pakistan experienced disruptions to mobile banking services on Thursday, affecting access to accounts and digital transactions.
The company acknowledged the issue and said its technical teams were working to resolve the problem.
However, the exact cause of the disruption has not been disclosed, and no timeline has been provided for the full restoration of services.
The outage affected customers attempting to log into the mobile application, transfer funds and carry out other routine transactions. Users reported difficulties accessing accounts as the disruption continued for several hours.
Easypaisa has said further updates will be shared once services are fully restored.
The disruption comes at a time when reports suggest that Norway-based telecommunications company Telenor ASA is considering the sale of its controlling stake in Easypaisa Bank.
If completed, the move could mark Telenor’s complete exit from Pakistan after more than two decades of operations in the country.
