Pakistani cricketers Babar Azam and others have wished the country’s women’s team ahead of Pak vs India World Cup match, set to take place today (Sunday) at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup kicked off on Friday (June 12th), and the first match was between England and Sri Lanka.
The cricket tournament, hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board, will run until July 5.
Babar wished good luck to the team, saying that the “prayers of the entire nation are with them. Go make us proud. Pakistan, it’s time to #BackOurGirls.”
Spinner Sajid Khan has also offered his heartfelt prayers for the team. Including him, other players, Khurram Shahzad, Sufiyan Muqeem, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, and Maaz Sadaqat wished the team success.

The match’s tickets are sold out. “Edgbaston is SOLD OUT for today’s T20 World Cup double-header,” the ICC posted hours before the match.
