Popular Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi and his wife Sana Faysal are facing criticism on social media after videos showed them receiving injections at an aesthetic clinic that were reportedly glutathione injections.
The couple had earlier shared a collaborative video on Instagram of their visit to the clinic to highlight a cosmetic wellness treatment.
Sana Faysal captioned the post, “One of the questions I get asked most is: Why do you get IV drips? For me, they’re a great way to support my wellness routine and help me feel refreshed and recharged.”
However, the video quickly started a debate online about celebrity influence and beauty standards in Pakistan.
Netizens react
Many social media users criticised the promotion and called it an irresponsible way of advertising cosmetic procedures. Some people also believed it was a paid marketing campaign.
Online users raised concerns about the safety of intravenous whitening treatments. They pointed out that such procedures are controversial and can even carry health risks if they are not properly regulated.
One user wrote that exposing blood vessels to repeated needles is not a good idea. Another said that natural beauty and healthy habits should be enough without cosmetic injections.
Others said that too much of anything can be harmful and that Sana was already beautiful without needing additional treatments.

The viral clip has once again started a discussion about injectable beauty procedures, celebrity influence and whether these treatments are being normalised too easily on social media.

I didn’t hide it back then and told that the whitening is because of the injections and I’m not hiding it now. You made me even fairer through more procedures. Reportedly, some of the other Lollywood celebs who went through such treatments are Sarwat Gilani, Aisha Khan, Ghana Ali, Fawad Khan, Hadiqa Kiani, Mehwish Hayat Khan, Danish Taimoor, and Fahd Mustafa.
