Pakistan’s ‘Skills of Tomorrow’ programme offers free AI, freelancing training

The government of Pakistan has launched a free digital skills training programme called ‘Skills of Tomorrow’ for young people across the country under a special directive from the Prime Minister (PM), according to reports on Wednesday.

The programme is being offered by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

The initiative is called Skills of Tomorrow, and it will provide training in high demand digital skills.

This will include various artificial intelligence (AI) programmes and freelancing related skills. These will help the young Pakistanis prepare for online career opportunities.

The training courses will run for three months and will be conducted across the country.

The last date to apply has been extended. Now, interested candidates can now submit their applications until 21 June 2026.

Under the scheme, eligible candidates will be able to get interest free loans of up to Rs1 million. The funds will then help to cover expenses before leaving for overseas jobs.
