The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved “Khudmukhtar Khatoon,” a new financing product designed to support women entrepreneurs.
Under the initiative, women-led businesses can access asset financing of Rs. 1 million to Rs. 1.5 million for the purchase of machinery, equipment, and other business assets, helping promote entrepreneurship and economic empowerment among women.
According to the announcement, the “Khudmukhtar Khatoon” product will be offered by Wali Financial Services. The financing facility is fully digital and Shariah-compliant, allowing women to apply through the “Hakim” mobile app.
The financing amount can be repaid in equal monthly instalments over a period of one year. The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to promote women’s financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and economic independence.
The “Khudmukhtar Khatoon” financing product will be offered by Wali Financial Services, with women entrepreneurs able to apply through the Hakim mobile app. The fully digital process is designed to simplify access to financing and streamline onboarding.
Beneficiaries will be able to repay the financing through fixed monthly instalments over 12 months.
The initiative comes as Pakistan’s non-banking financial sector continues to expand. During July–December 2025, lending NBFCs disbursed Rs111 billion in financing, supporting nearly 7.5 million micro and small businesses across the country.
The SECP said the launch of the new financing facility reflects its commitment to strengthening women’s participation in the economy by improving access to financial services and supporting entrepreneurial growth.
