According to Downdetector, the problems started shortly after 9 AM Eastern Time.

According to the reports, the complaints of issues quickly surged to nearly 30,000 after only a small number of complaints had been recorded earlier in the morning.

Downdetector began receiving thousands of reports just before 10 AM on Monday, June 22, about issues affecting X, according to the reports.

By 10:10 AM the users could see the platform’s logo and menu, but the main content was not loading. However, direct links to specific X accounts were still working.

Downdetector also received reports of problems affecting other services, including Reddit, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Fortnite.

Another website, downforeveryoneorjustme.com, also reported issues with the platform.

Reports add that about half of the complaints were related to the X app. While the other 30 per cent were about issues with the feed and timeline, and the other 15 per cent involved the desktop website.

Downdetector also recorded a smaller number of user complaints starting around noon on Sunday.

Previously, on June 12, popular global social networking Meta services Facebook, Threads and Instagram faced disruptions together and were affected across the world, including Pakistan. This caused problems for users.

According to users, they faced problems sending messages and posting on Meta’s sub-platform, Facebook. They also report issues while using Instagram and Threads.

The high number of complaints indicated that the disruption was widespread. Some reports also suggested that the problem could likely be caused by a technical issue affecting Meta’s platforms.

Later, the Meta owned social media platforms came back online after a brief worldwide outage on Friday.
