Sargodha Police have arrested the main suspect and the rapist in the 7-year-old Muntaha rape case.
As per the police officials, Arsalan, along with the other three culprits, was arrested by the police on Tuesday, June 23.
The police officials have confirmed that Arsalan had admitted that he raped the 7-year-old and killed her after that.
They also added that the DNA results have matched with the prime suspect in the case.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Arsalan, who was a worker at the general store, along with the shop owner and two others, raped Muntaha and killed her by striking her with a knife.
The criminals have been charged with the act of murder in the FIR.
The police, along with the Crime Control Department (CCD), were looking into this case.
The District Police Officer (DPO), Sargodha, Sohail Ashraf, told the media that a fifth suspect has also been taken into custody.
The Civil Court judge, Imran Farooq, has granted a six-day physical remand of the main suspect.
According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the locals of the area on Wednesday at midnight stoned the kiryana store (General Store) and broke the mirrors installed at the entrance of the shop and the building.
This is the same shop in which Muntaha was brutally raped and murdered.

First Information Report (FIR) of Muntaha rape case
According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Muntaha’s father, the 7-year-old Muntaha went to the shop to buy something, and she often visited that general store as it was located near her home.
After a long time, the family of the girl got worried, and the father of the girl, along with some of the locals, went to search for his daughter.
Upon asking the shop owner about his daughter, the father got suspicious as the owner was behaving strangely.
The father of the child, along with the others, went to the third floor of the shop, where they saw Arsalan holding a knife in his hand.
Upon seeing the father of the girl, Arsalan ran from the crime scene. The father rushed towards her child, who was breathing her last.
The father of the girl said that my daughter gave her life in my arms.
The complainant (father of Muntaha) has accused Arsalan and others of raping her child and brutally murdering her.
As per the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the accused are booked under Section 302 (murder), 376 (rape of a minor), 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or for a shorter term) and 109 (punishment for abetment if the act abetted is committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment).
